Maren Hedermann

Maren has been in ministry for over 10 years, having experienced different roles and opportunities to serve.
After completing a degree in applied theology and missional youth work. Maren started working for SWYM (South West Youth Ministries) as an area coordinator, looking after youth and children's workers in training.
Alongside that role, she worked as a youth and schools worker for a church in Chudleigh for over 6 years.
From September 2021 to September 2023, Maren stepped into a role with Home for Good (adoption and fostering charity) overseeing their work across Torbay. That grew her passion for the region and people here, but she felt that God was calling her back into youth work.
When the role of new team leader at LiNX came up, that felt like the right opportunity for her to pursue and here she is.

Fun fact: Not many people know that Maren started horse riding at 5 years old and carried on the sport competitively for 11 years after that.

Charlie Haywood

​After completing a degree in Business Studies at The University of Plymouth Charlie started her working life in Human Resources and Training at Nortel. In 2002, following 8 years with the company, she took voluntary redundancy and got married. That is when she first got involved with LiNX as a volunteer and then administrator. She left temporarily in 2004 to have 2 children but returned in 2009 as a schools worker. Her passion is to see young people find wholeness in every aspect of their life and to meet with the God who knows and loves them.

Fun fact: Charlie has lived in 22 different houses/flats since she was born. She is now settled in her 23rd (hopefully!)

Matt Turner

Matt started with LiNX back in 2007 having previously worked in local church youth work and with South West Youth Ministries. With a background in education Matt is always looking for the best way to combine the message of the gospel with engaging and inspiring lessons.
 
Fun fact: Since the birth of his daughters, Matt claims his proudest achievement is being retweeted by Cbeebies!

Philip Eley

​Philip has an MA in Youth and Community work, as well as a teaching qualification. He is one of the church leaders at Roselands Community Church, and lives in Paignton with his wife and 3 children. Much of his recent training has been around Emotional Health, and he uses this knowledge and experience when writing and developing short courses and small group work. He also particularly loves mentoring and one-to-one listening.

Fun fact: Philip can fit a whole tennis ball in his mouth and close his mouth shut around it.
