Few things make me happier than sharing the story of a young person who's life has been changed through the work of LiNX:
“Dear God,
Life is far from easy. My mind has been lost and confused for all these years.
I haven’t known your love. Darkness and evil blacked out your light, I was blind and powerless to stop it.
I said you failed me. I said you sent me abuse when I was young. I said you crushed me as a child.
I said you broke my self-worth until there was none left. I said you sent addiction from a young age. I said you sent a million fears.
My mind was confused with everyday situations. I had fear I could never defeat.
But God, I have kicked away the abuse. I rebuilt my self-worth. I beat that addiction.
My tears have dried. My mind is clear. And now I’m taking on my fear.
All because you’re there.
Your beam of light has beaten the darkness and shown me the way to my life.
I can’t see you with my eyes but I can see you with my faith.
I can’t hear you with my ears but I listen through my heart.
I can’t see your plan but I trust your love.”

What Made The Difference In This Torbay Young Person’s Life

Here at LiNX - we believe that ultimately, God makes the difference.
But a huge part lies in the level of support each person receives throughout their fragile teenage years.
And that is why I am writing to you, and to others like you about LiNX Christian Youth Trust.
For that is the whole purpose of this charity: To help Torbay young people to reach their full potential.
To give them the support they need – support that will allow them to thrive throughout life.
It isn’t always a staggering perseverance, desire or dedication.
It isn’t that one young person wants to overcome their challenges and the other doesn’t.
Here at LiNX - we believe that ultimately, God makes the difference.
But a huge part lies in the level of support each person receives throughout their fragile teenage years.
And that is why I am writing to you, and to others like you about LiNX Christian Youth Trust.
For that is the whole purpose of this charity: To help Torbay young people to reach their full potential.
To give them the support they need – support that will allow them to thrive throughout life.
A Charity Unlike Any Other
You see, LiNX is a unique charity. It’s Torbay's only ministry working across nine secondary schools.
Each weekday, our professional school’s workers go out to be the hands and feet of Jesus, teaching important life lessons and providing personal support for the young people who need it.
We don’t just give lessons and moral advice, we also aim to support the whole development of a young person throughout their fast-moving world, whether that be social, emotional, physical, intellectual or spiritual.
More so, our mission involves connecting young people to the local church and encouraging Christian students to apply their faith across every aspect of their lives.
Essentially, LiNX gives you the possibility to help these young people achieve the future they deserve — at a time when they need it the most.
