Why Fundraising Matters
The work of LiNX has never been more important and truthfully we couldn’t do any of it without the incredible people who kindly raise money for us. From marathons to bake sales and gala dinners, LiNX thanks everyone involved in fundraising events across Torbay and beyond.
There are many ways you can raise money for LiNX Christian Youth Trust. Whatever you choose to do, everything you raise will go
towards helping Torbay young people reach their full potential and make a positive impact for all involved.

Fundraising Tips
PLAN
Want your fundraising campaign to be a success? Start with careful planning. Check whether your date clashes with any other big events in your location, allow enough time to organise everything, and think about all the equipment and supplies you need. Feel free to contact us for help.
SET UP YOUR FUNDRAISING PAGE/FORM
The easiest way to collect sponsorship and donations (whilst claiming Gift Aid) is to set up an online fundraising page.
Not only does this simplify the administration side of fundraising, but it allows you to spread your fundraising message to friends and family who don't live nearby to you!
To set up a page, go to Google, type in 'Fundraising page', choose your favourite option and then follow the simple instructions.
BE SAFE AND LEGAL
Ensure that your event meets all legal requirements, this may involve: health & safety requirements, first aid cover, food guidelines (food.gov.uk), insurance, alcohol or entertainment licenses or even legal requirements relating to raffles and lotteries (gamblingcomission.gov.uk).
Please also remember, if you are collecting money publicly you should first obtain permission from the owner of the premises or local authority if in the street.
Use sponsorship forms and other records to keep track of your donations and any outgoings. When it comes to paying the money in, ideally take the money to your bank, get a receipt for the money you’ve paid in, and write us a cheque made out to ‘LiNX Christian Youth Trust’. If you can’t do this, contact us for further advice.
PROMOTE
To promote your fundraising as far as possible, use social media and send press releases to the local newspapers and radio stations. Also, let us know about your fundraising event and we'll blast it all over our social networks too!
ENJOY
Have an absolute blast with your fundraiser. We want to see you having fun!
